Welcome to Ms.Garcia's Page!

Hello,

My name is Giselle Garcia, and I am the Specialist of English Language Learners for Elementary students at Las America's Aspira Academy. In my years as an infant teacher to 2nd-grade teacher, I have learned a lot about young students. I believe that children are meant to run, explore, pretend, play, and most importantly; be kids. Each child will learn at their own pace, therefore, having the utmost patience and providing them with support is key.

As an ESL teacher, I work with students and families from all over the world, who come from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I use this information, along with your students' schooling, to help your student achieve their goals in and outside of the classroom. Being an English Language Learner myself, I understand the obstacles that students and families face while learning a second language. I am able to use my experience and education to make this a positive and successful time for both families and students.

Hola,

Mi nombre es Giselle García y soy la especialista en estudiantes de inglés para estudiantes de primaria en Las Americas Aspira Academy. En mis años como maestra de infantes a maestra de segundo grado, he aprendido mucho sobre los estudiantes jóvenes. Creo que los niños están destinados a correr, explorar, fingir, jugar y lo más importante; ser niños. Cada niño aprenderá a su propio ritmo, por lo tanto, tener la máxima paciencia y brindarles apoyo es clave.

Como maestra de ESL, trabajo con estudiantes y familias de todo el mundo, que provienen de diferentes orígenes culturales y lingüísticos. Utilizo esta información, junto con la escolaridad de sus estudiantes, para ayudar a su estudiante a alcanzar sus metas dentro y fuera del salón de clases. Siendo yo mismo un aprendiz del idioma inglés, entiendo los obstáculos que enfrentan los estudiantes y las familias mientras aprenden un segundo idioma. Puedo usar mi experiencia y educación para hacer de este un momento positivo y exitoso tanto para las familias como para los estudiantes.
