I am the Chinese instructor and Global learning coordinator at ASPIRA 9-12 West Campus. I am a retired and passionate bilingual educator with more than two decades of experience teaching English in China and Chinese in the U.S. I hold a standard Certification of Supervisor, Principal and K-12 Instructor of Chinese, and I am a certified AP Chinese reader by the College Board.

Prior to joining ASPIRA, I served as a lead Chinese instructional coach with DOE in DE and a supervisor of Chinese bilingual teacher candidates at Teacher College, Columbia University in New York City and the director of the K-12 Chinese world language program in New Jersey, where I oversaw the start-up and growth of the k-12 Chinese program including budget planning, data analysis and annual federal reporting, as well as collaborating with the school principals and other administrators in the school district.

I earned a B.A. in English literature from China and an M.A. in public administration from F.D.U in NJ. I completed graduate studies in educational leadership at Kean University, NJ and a current Ed.D. candidate at University of Delaware.

I have two grown children, a daughter and son. I am a grandma of 11-year old grandson. I love outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. You can find me either in the swimming pool or the workout group in YMCA after work.
