Q: How will an IEP student be affected by this choice?
A: Students with IEPs will not be negatively impacted in the AVA Program. Students with IEPs will be supported in both learning environments.

Q: Will the AVA program be comparable to the in-person program regarding requirements, workload and structure? Will parents have the ability to request higher standards, more work, and have children pushed harder to meet full potential?
A: The AVA Program will have similar requirements, workload, structure and grading as the F2F program. We are always open to discussions with families about their child’s learning needs. We want to be sure every student is growing academically each year, so we can discuss ways to challenge students more if warranted.

Q: How will speech therapy students be impacted by the AVA choice?
A: There will not be an impact to special services, such as speech therapy, in the AVA Program. Students will receive speech therapy (and other supports as noted in their IEPs or 504 Plans) in both programs.
