Meet the Teacher
Hi! My name is Mrs. Nicole Castiglione-Carey. I will be your child’s English Language Arts Immersion Teacher. This is my 11th year at Las Americas ASPIRA Academy teaching 4th grade. I have been here since the opening of ASPIRA. I graduated from Wilmington University with a BS degree in Elementary Education in K-6, Special Education 1-8. I have my Masters degree from the University of Delaware in Teacher Leadership. I have always wanted to be a teacher and absolutely love it! I love spending time with my daughter, Amelia, family, friends, and traveling. I can’t wait to get the year started and get to know each and every one of you! Este es mi 11no año en Las Américas de ASPIRA Academy enseñanza cuarto grado. Me gradué de la Universidad de Wilmington con una licenciatura en Educación Primaria en K-6, con una concentración en Educación Especial grados 1-8. El pasado mayo, tengo una Maestría en Liderazgo de Maestro de la Universidad de Delaware. What can your child do at home to continue their learning?
Reading Support:
- Read every night for 20-30 minutes, in English and/or Spanish
- Read with your child to help support their FLUENCY and COMPREHENSION
- Make sure your child is reading a “Just Right” book: RECOMMENDED BOOKS FOR READING LEVELS A-Z
Math Support:
- Practice multiplication facts for at least 5-10 minutes every night (Full understanding of multiplication facts are the foundation for 4th grade math)
- Enhance their math skills using school approved educational websites. For example:
