Welcome to 5th grade! ¡Bienvenidos al 5to grado!

MEET THE TEACHER:

Hello! My name is Phyllis Peterson, I am the 5th-grade enrichment teacher who will be predominately supporting students within Mrs. Factor’s homeroom. This is my fourth year teaching at ASPIRA and I absolutely love it here.  While this is my fourth year teaching at ASPIRA, this is my 13th year teaching. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and my Master’s Degree in Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University, both located in New Jersey. I have also earned post-graduate credits in the area of Special Education from Kean University, also located in New Jersey.  When I am not at school, I spend my time with my family. I have an 8-year-old son who attends ASPIRA and loves all things technology and a 3-year daughter who also attends ASPIRA's ECDC. She is spirited in all she does and enjoys dancing, singing, and running around. At home, we enjoy watching Disney movies, swimming, and taking day trips as a family - especially to the beach. I look forward to collaborating with you this year to best support your child. Please feel free to contact me at 908-296-9961 or [email protected] at any time. I can also be found on REMIND: here is my personal class code: @h9gk34
