Purchase of Care

ASPIRA Families,

The Extended Care Program proudly announces that we are once again licensed with site number 1720003900 with the Bureau of Child Care Licensing.

We accept Purchase of Care (POC), a Federal subsidy program that helps families pay for child care, for those who qualify.

You will still need to complete the registration paperwork required to participate in the Extended Care Program.

How do the parents or caretakers become eligible for POC?

  • Go to nearest Division of Social Service (DSS) office and ask to speak to someone about Child Care

  • Contact the DE Helpline at 1-800- 464-4357 or call 211 for information about locations near them or apply online.

  • Visit website

  • Apply through ASSIST

In addition to an application, proof of need for service and income will be needed.

Who is eligible?

Parents or caretakers who meet income limits and can demonstrate a need for child care because of one of the following:

  • Employment

  • Education (As it relates to Employment & Training rules for Food Benefit and/or TANF assistance) *Training

  • A Client with a Medical Special Need

  • A Child with a Special Need

  • A DFS Referral
